The Ohana Surfing Experience

Founded in 2024 by Diego Ibanez, Ohana Surf Experience was born out of a passion for sharing the love of surfing in a lighthearted, safe, and passionate way. The name is a tribute to Ohana, a beloved dog—ohana means “family” in Hawaiian—and it reflects everything we believe in: warmth, unity, and respect both in and out of the water.

Located in the Cascais region, our surf school is a welcoming space for everyone—kids, adults, beginners, intermediate, or advanced surfers. We teach with dedication and skill, always respecting each student’s pace and creating unforgettable moments in connection with the ocean

With a professional, experienced, and high-energy team, we offer private lessons, group sessions, family surf, events, and more. If you’re looking to learn how to surf with safety, fun, and a true sense of community, Ohana is your place.
